In 2024, from an idea of Caterina Arciprete and a collaboration with Artsight Gallery, "Art for women today" was born.
An all-female international art project to tell and support contemporary women.
The first step is a collection of limited edition art prints in support of Pianoterra Onlus.
Ten box sets of art postcards and an exhibition of original works to talk about women in the world.
One of ten collections AFWT,made in New York in collaboration with dancer, choreographer Gisela Quinteros. Gisela Quinteros.
The body narrates the soul, its song, its essence. Photography captures its emotions, which change shape in the eyes of the viewer, becoming abstraction, stain, beat of color.
The meeting between Gisela and Caterina that took place in New York generated an all-female sensory mixture. Between the extemporaneous expressiveness of dance and the still image of photography then processed pictorially. A hymn to the contemporary woman manifested in the sinuosity of the movements. I am a wave, shaped through life. I am a river, flowing endlessly. I am a mountain, grounded and still. I am roots, anchor to deep values. I am strong enough to contain and discover my world, to narrate my fragilities, to shout my dissent, my personality. I am one and a thousand again. I am unique and of this uniqueness I celebrate the essence. Of my nature I mark the steps in a ritual that is dance, line, vulnerability and affirmation.
